Setu Shiroya
Setu is a medical student at TCU Burnett School of Medicine. He was first inspired by his father to practice mindfulness and meditation and has a deep interest in its implications in neuroscience and medicine. He is looking forward to becoming a pediatric neurologist who can use mindfulness and meditation in his practice.
Outside of being a CALM Guide, Setu is the president of the Mindfulness and Medicine student interest group and the secretary for the Neurology group at the TCU Burnett School of Medicine. He is also working on a research project at Cook’s Children’s Hospital studying cerebral palsy in children.
He is currently looking for new ways to incorporate mindfulness and meditation in the Fort Worth community. Apart from academics, some of Setu’s hobbies include volleyball, electric guitar, hiking, lifting, and video editing.
